Celebrate Christmas and New Year in the most beautiful locations in Northern Ireland.

Whether you’re looking for a short getaway to a little coastal retreat or a family reunion in a unique location, National Trust Holiday Cottages in Northern Ireland offer the chance to unwind in breathtaking surroundings close to home. With a fantastic array of unique and wonderful places to stay, the cottages certainly take advantage of the amazing countryside and coastline that Northern Ireland has to offer.

Located just a short distance from the famous rope bridge is Carrick-a-Rede Cottage, with stunning views towards Rathlin Island, and on to Islay and the Mull of Kintyre. Carrick-a-Rede Cottage and Portbraddan Cottage, nestled in an idyllic harbour, are inspirational locations from which to explore one of the most spectacular coastal routes in Ireland.

Get away from it all in the unique atmostphere of Butler's Apartment in Florence Court, winner of the Northern Ireland RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) award for building conservation excellence in the built enviroment in 2011. Florence Court is a beautiful estate, set below the stunning backdrop of the Cuilcagh Mountains with glorious open views down to the Fermanagh Lakeland’s. Situated in the Laundry Yard in the south wing, Butler's Apartment served as living quarters for male servants at Florence Court and many of the original features have been retained providing an untouched atmosphere in charming surroundings. Rose Cottage is also situated in the charming walled rose garden.

Around two sides of a large open courtyard, on the tranquil shores of Upper Lough Erne are Crom’s seven holiday cottages. We challenge you to find a place more romantic or peaceful than Crom.  Within its 2,000 acres there are ancient woodland, tranquil islands and historic ruins. Crom is also one of Ireland’s most important nature conservation areas.

Nestled in the woodland retreat of Castle Ward in Co Down, is Downpatrick Gate Lodge. This charming stone cottage has a fairytale Hansel and Gretel feel, which will enchant and delight guests. Inside the beautiful 820 acre walled demesne you will also find Potters Cottage and miles of paths and trails that wind their way through woodland and suddenly open onto the quiet shores of the Lough.

Or why not take in the views of the Mountains of Mourne from a holiday cottage on the shores of Dundrum Inner Bay with a stay at either Murlough Cottage or Murlough Gate Lodge? Murlough is fantastic walking country and offers the opportunity to explore the network of paths and boardwalks through the dunes, woodland and heath.
