Corporate volunteering - what's in it for you?

Getting away from the office can help bring your team closer together, increase productivity and reduce stress levels. The National Trust relies on volunteers to help protect the nation’s wildlife and green spaces.

We can provide an opportunity to combine your team away day with our conservation aims at the various sites we look after. On corporate days, these events tend to take place at Alderley Edge, Hare Hill or Bosley Cloud.

Our well-established work with many volunteers gives us a wealth of experience, and ensures that the tasks undertaken are both achievable and rewarding for all involved.

What we offer

We offer a range of one day conservation activities for groups of six to twenty people, all supervised by our wardens and assisted by experienced volunteers. (Please feel free to contact us if your numbers are outside of this range, as numbers can vary depending on the projects in hand).

So what might you  be helping with?

We have a variety of projects, each planned to incorporate conservation and countryside management. Tasks might include fencing, path making and repair, and habitat management.

Each visit is planned to meet both your company’s requirements and our programmed objectives, and all tasks are designed so that there is an achievable goal by the end of the day.

We will provide all necessary tools and safety equipment, together with briefings to the team to ensure maximum attainment as well as safe working practices.
Being outdoors is a great way to help relieve the daily stresses of the work place; and it’s also an ideal way for colleagues to get to know each other and to work together as a team.

A number of groups from a variety of industries enjoyed corporate days here at Alderley Edge during the past year. So what are you waiting for? Why not introduce your team to the great outdoors and help to promote long-term health and well-being within the work place?
