Young volunteers' group hard at work

Project:
Working with young people from across the Fife area of Scotland
Location:
High Wray Base Camp Volunteering Centre

A long standing partnership with us, the Fife Air Cadets Conservation Group has evolved to include Scouts and families too.

One of our oldest partnerships, the FACCG, works with young people from across the Fife area of Scotland. Their motto is ‘Working together for tomorrow’s future’. Although they still call themselves, at present, Fife Air Cadets Conservation Group (FACCG) they are now made up of Air Cadets, Explorer Scouts and families from across Fife.

New skills to take back to Scotland
Mark Pearson of FACCG said ‘We come down for a whole week where the youngsters learn many new skills that we can take back to Scotland for working on our own wildlife reserve and other projects we do in Southern Scotland’.

Bigger tasks
We can often tackle bigger or more involved tasks with the group as the members bring a wealth of experience and knowledge and a week with them can be great for an exchange of ideas.
