Lizard peninsula rare flora and fauna walk
This short circular walk around the western side of the Lizard peninsula, takes in some stunning coastal scenery, as well as seasonal plants, birds and other wildlife – some of which you won't see anywhere else in the world.

Start point
Predannack National Trust car park, grid ref: SW668162
Step 1
Climb over the stile in the corner of the car park. Walk down the narrow green lane for about 110yd (100m) to the small stream and stepping stones at the bottom.
Step 2
Cross the small wooden stile on you left and follow the path along the edge of the field towards the outcrop of rock. As well as lovely views, this outcrop supports some of the unique flora for which The Lizard is famed.
Step 3
At the foot of the field in front of you is a small timber and stone stile that takes you down to the coast path. Turn left onto the path.
Step 4
Pause at the large rock outcrop overlooking Ogo Dour Cove.
Step 5
Here, the coast path drops down into the valley, over a little stream, before a steady climb back up the other side.
Step 6
At the top of the hill, a small stone waymark directs you left, back towards Predannack Wollas car park.
Step 7
Climb over the polished serpentine stone stile and walk down the narrow green lane before turning left onto the track.
Step 8
Cross over the small wooden bridge and return to your starting point at the car park through the gate ahead of you.
