50 things to do before you're 11 ¾ at Cragside
We all know the importance of getting our family out and about - fresh air, exercise and memories that will last a lifetime all await you in the Great Outdoors.
But we also know that sometimes convincing the young ones to get off the sofa can be a real effort.
Research has found that fewer than 1 in 10 children regularly play in wild places compared to almost half a generation ago, a third have never climbed a tree, one in ten can't ride a bike, and three times as many are taken to hospital after falling out of bed, as from falling out of a tree.
