Hendre Isaf Bunkhouse is a 400-year-old converted farm building in a peaceful yet easily accessible corner of Snowdonia National Park.

Quiet surroundings

Escape the crowds and enjoy lovely rural views knowing you’re only six miles away from Betws y Coed, an idyllic hub of shops, pubs and cafes known as ‘The Gateway to Snowdonia'.

Situated on the A5 at our Ysbyty Ifan estate, it’s in a perfect location for an active getaway with mountain biking, hill walking and water sports all on the door-step. Go for a walk or explore Gwydyr Forest, Plas y Brenin, Bala Water Sports centre and much more.

Larger groups

The bunkhouse is ideal for families and larger groups sleeping up to 18, with two dorm rooms and a single room for loud snorers! There’s ample car parking (10-12 spaces) a large open-plan dining room and lounge, ideal for socialising and relaxing together in the evenings. Facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, drying room, washing machine and tumble dryer.

By car, bike or foot:

Situated six miles south-east of Betws-y-Coed near junction of the A5 and the B4407 (signposted Ysbyty Ifan and Ffestiniog).

By public transport:

Trains at Betws y Coed (six miles), Llandudno Junction (20 miles) and Llanrwst (ten miles), National Express bus station at Llandudno, limited local bus service, we advise bringing your own transport.
