This easy buggy friendly walk has refreshment and toilet stops on the way with great spots of interests such as the ice house, bird hide, house, lakeside and Temple Greenhouse to enjoy.

Start:

National Trust Croome, Visitor Centre, near High Green, Worcester, Worcestershire, WR8 9DW

Leaving the RAF Visitor Centre turn left into the Wilderness Walk and follow the path to the church.

Walk round the front of the church and go through the gate at the side into the Church Shrubbery and follow the path. On your left you will see the bird hide where you may wish to spend a while spotting some of our feathered friends.

Continue along the path, crossing the road and the Walled Garden entrance until you reach the Rotunda.

From the Rotunda, follow the path to the right down through the Home Shrubbery to the iron gate at the bottom.

Go through the iron gate into the park and follow the path to the right towards the court. There are plenty of places to have a picnic on the south lawn.

Walk around the court and follow the path towards the church. You will shortly reach a fork in the path, with a bench in front of you.

At the fork turn left and walk towards the lake, keeping the ‘river’ on your left until you reach the wooden gate.

Go through the gate; walk on towards the Worcester Gate entrance, also known as the Punchbowl Gate.

Just before the Worcester Gate (Punchbowl Gate) turn left along the path into the lake, after 30 yards turn right and follow the path round the lake past the Grotto and the statue of Sabrina. There are plenty of places to sit in the deckchairs around the lake.

Cross over the white framed bridge to the Island Pavilion and then over the second bridge, continuing round the lake to the rope handled bridge.

Cross the bridge and turn right, under the Dry Arch Bridge. Continue along the path passing the Druid, the Temple Greenhouse and continue into the Evergreen Shrubbery back to the church.

From the church return to the Visitors Centre through the Wilderness Walk.
