Our Horticultural Apprenticeship scheme is a great way to gain a qualification in horticulture whilst spending two years working in the beautiful gardens here at Anglesey Abbey.

Your training will involve periods of practical training working under the guidence of our experienced gardeners, followed by regular periods of residential training at Pershore College of Horticulture, in Warwickshire.

During your training you will learn key skills such as mowing, soil cultivation, weed control, pruning and planting.

Once you've completed your training you will be qualified to apply for Assistant / Seasonal Gardener posts within the National Trust and a host of similiar organisations.

During training you will be working 37.5 hours a week (which will include regular weekend working) and can earn up to £264 a week depending on your age.
