Summer family fun

Join us for some family activities at Antony this summer with the Come out and play trail supported by Sport England incorporating games, challenges and activities to complete along the way.

Adventures in play

Complete the activity stops around the garden and check them off your challenge cards. You are going to have to use your imagination, take on some physical challenges and maybe get a bit competitive.

The trail will be running from Wed 27 Jul - Thu 1 Sep over the summer holidays. This event is free, normal admission applies. Collect your challenge card from the welcome team on arrival.

A classic sports day

Fun for the entire family, take a trip up memory lane with some classic time-honoured sports day activities including an egg and spoon race and sack race. Which generation of family members will reach the finish line first?

Discover more about Antony

Find out more about Antony as you complete the challenges. There are tales of Civil War intrigue at the corn hole activity station, will you support the royalist or parliamentarian cause?

On main lawn, there used to be a formal garden made up of hedges and beds. The gardeners have been busy reimagining the parterre using robot mowers. There will be a chance to find out more when you complete the challenge card.

Storytelling room

Spark young imaginations with games, costumes and books inspired by the magic of Antony.

Dressing up

Our youngest visitors can start their visit by getting dressed up in the storytelling room before they make their way around the rooms.

Curtseying and bowing to our house volunteers is encouraged!

What to look out for

There are two children who call Antony their home – Jemima and Lucian Carew Pole.

As you walk around the rooms, what can you see that shows they live here? Are there any toys left around the rooms? Who can you see in the photographs?
