What's happening at Trevose?

Last year, Trevose Head was up for sale on the open market. Thanks to generous gifts in Wills and donations, the National Trust was successful in buying and protecting Trevose Head, for ever, for everyone. We are now looking for help with its ongoing care. Plans include extending areas of existing wildflower-rich grassland, providing habitat for rare farmland birds and creating new circular walks.

How your generosity helps Trevose Head

  • Every £1 donated turns into £2 thanks to Mother Ivey's Bay matched funding
  • To look after 1 mile of coastline for a year it costs £3,000 Trevose Head has 2.3 miles of coastline
  • Your help will contribute towards the care of 90 hectares of important wildlife habitat
" Our visitors come to Cornwall for its natural beauty. With the National Trust’s purchase of Trevose Head I am very pleased to be working in partnership with this conservation charity to ensure that this very special coastal headland is looked after for wildlife and people for ever. Your donations are needed to ensure that this can be achieved. "
- Patrick Langmaid, Director, Mother Ivey's Bay Holiday Park

Why give to the National Trust?

As a charity, we rely on the generosity of supporters to look after the outdoor spaces in our care. Not only do our supporters help to conserve beautiful landscapes and protect precious plants and wildlife. But they also ensure that future generations have places they can find freedom from everyday life, reconnect with the natural world and make memories to treasure. With your support, we can continue to protect the irreplaceable. For ever, for everyone.
