Mount Stewart garden appeal

You've been helping us to restore Mount Stewart. But surrounding land we've recently acquired now needs our attention. Can you support this celebrated place a little more?

We've achieved so much, but there's more to do

Thanks to generous support, we've transformed Mount Stewart, from the beautifully restored Dodo Terrace to the replanted Italian Garden. But 900 acres of surrounding demesne land, including the Walled Garden, recently came into our care, and it's in urgent need of repair.

How the appeal adds up

  • The house has re-opened after an £8 million restoration project
  • There remains 900 acres of demesne land in urgent need of repair
  • Mount Stewart comprises an area approximately 167 hectares in size

Why give to the National Trust

As a charity, we rely on the generosity of supporters to look after the historic buildings in our care. Not only do our supporters help to conserve beautiful homes and stunning gardens. They also ensure that future generations have places where they can be inspired by stories of the past, enjoy peace and time to reflect, and make memories to treasure. With your support, we can continue to protect the irreplaceable. For ever, for everyone.
