For the walkers
Take a quiet stroll round our parkland taking in both open grassland and quiet woods or follow one of our planned walks. You can meander gently around the estate, take a longer walk to our neighbours at Packwood House or follow country lanes to the Grand Union Canal. You can find directions and maps in our walks section.
If you don’t feel like walking that far, take a turn round our beautiful gardens. There’s plenty of autumn colour for you to enjoy, and you could spot some of our local wildlife as you wander round the lake.
Our woodland play area is situated out in the woods (reception staff will tell you how to get there) and children love learning about all the wildlife they could see here. Don’t forget your wellies!
For the history buffs
Take a tour round a house which has over 500 years of stories to tell. Our knowledgeable room-guides will be pleased to tell you all about the Ferrers family who lived here for 12 generations.
For the gourmets
The Barn Restaurant opens at 9am with a breakfast selection for the early risers and is open throughout the day for everything from a cup of tea and a slice of cake to a delicious full meal. As much as possible we source our ingredients locally, and we use our own produce from the vegetable garden.
For the shopaholics
Whether you just want a guidebook, a souvenir of your visit or a special gift, you’ll find something in our shop. We’ve got beautiful scarves, garden tools, exclusive china designs and even eco-friendly cleaning products! You could also take home a lasting reminder of your visit from the plant centre.
With the nights drawing in, now is the perfect time to curl up on the sofa with a good book. The bookworms amongst you could browse for hours through the thousands of bargains in our bookshop.
With so much to see and do, you might need to come back again – we look forward to welcoming you!
