Half-term trail at Bateman's

The beautiful countryside around Bateman's and the wonderful gardens just outside the front door of the house, were a great playground for two of Kipling's three children, Elsie and John.

This half-term you can explore the hidden treasures and secret spots where Kipling encouraged his children's imagination and allowed them freedom to explore and create their own boundaries. Our half-term trail will take you out into the garden and areas of the estate close to the house to see what pleasures these three enjoyed.

  • Trail runs from Saturday 10 February to Sunday 18 February
  • Available daily from 10am to 3pm
  • £2.50 per trail
