Below stairs tours at Belton House

Take one of the daily basement tours to delve into the hidden life of those below stairs who kept the mansion running.

Life Below Stairs

Hidden from view but very much a hive of activity, the servants working below stairs kept the mansion running, no matter what time of year.

Today, you can get a glimpse into the past life of Belton on one of the daily basement tours. You'll see where the servants worked and lived; hear about the jobs they would have to do, and perhaps even a bit of gossip.

Take the tour

Over the summer months, basement tours run everyday between 11am - 3pm. Tickets can be collected from the Marble Hall from 10.30am. The tour is free of charge to National Trust members. For non-members there's an upgrade fee on top of grounds admission, if a whole property ticket was not obtained on entrance.
