There’s lots of the National Trust 50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾ activities to tick off the list on your next visit to Belton. 33 in fact!

Pick up a copy of the #50things booklet from Belton’s Discovery Centre or Visitor Reception Building to keep track of how many activities you complete.

Here are Belton’s top five #50things activities to try out this summer:

1. Roll down a really big hill:

Rolling down a really big hill is perhaps the best way ever invented to get to the bottom. It's also the most fun, so get out there, climb the hill up to Old Wood, and tick challenge No.2 off your list. (#2).

2. Make a daisy chain:

Making a daisy chain is a perfect summer activity when the sun is shining. All you need is a patch of grass with daisies and you're ready to start making chains. Join us for Belton’s weekly #50things challenges throughout the school holidays for your chance to make a giant daisy chain with the play team (#16).

3. Go on a walk barefoot:

Belton House is stuffed full of lovely grassy areas for freeing your feet. With over 1,300 acres of parkland and gardens, you won't be short of places to explore (#24).

4. Discover what’s in a pond:

It may look green and grim, but murky pond water is full of life. Scoop some out into a tub and check out what lives beneath the surface. Join us this summer holiday as we discover what’s in Belton’s mirror pond (#35).

5. Find your way with a map and compass:

Finding your way with a map and compass might seem really simple, but there's quite a lot to learn. Once you've mastered it, you'll never get lost again! Join us for Belton’s weekly #50things challenges throughout the school holidays as the play team challenge you to find your way with a map and compass (#45).
