Will the house be open?
The House will be open from 12.30-5pm last entry 4.30pm. There won’t be any specific family activities within the house itself, but Below Stairs tours will run between 11am-3pm. Below Stairs tours are by ticket only. The tour is free of charge to National Trust members. For non-members, there's an upgrade fee on top of grounds admission if a whole property ticket was not obtained at the entrance.
Can we stay in the Ride indoor play area?
Due to the popularity of the space timed tickets will be in operation to stay in the Ride Play Café. This helps us monitor the numbers of visitors here. Your ticket will allow your family group in for an hour and can be booked on the day. To avoid disappointment, we advise booking your hour upon arrival to Belton by picking up a ticket from the door of the Ride.
Where can I get a hot drink/snack/ice cream?
Hot drinks, snacks and ice creams can be bought from the Ride Play Café, Stables Restaurant, Bertie's van (located in the stable yard) or Muddy Hands in the Outdoor Adventure Playground. Ice creams can also be bought from the Second hand Bookshop (in the stable yard).
Can I take my dog on the Cadbury Egg Hunt?
Dogs are allowed to join your family Egg Hunt this year as both trail routes are located in the parkland. The park is home to the deer herd too so, please keep dogs on leads.
Can I take my pushchair on the Cadbury Egg Hunt?
The shorter trail route will be accessible for pushchairs and still challenge all ages for the participating ‘big kids’.
What is the trail prize this year?
Cadburys have supplied chocolate bunnies this year. A chocolate bunny per trail bought can be collected upon completion of the trail.
Where can we have our picnic?
Picnic benches are situated on the grassed area between the stable yard and the Outdoor Adventure Playground and within the playground itself. Undercover picnic areas are very limited.
