Pride & Prejudice open-air theatre
Belton House is proud to present Chapterhouse Theatre Company’s open-air tour. Belton’s beautiful East Avenue, which featured in the BBC’s 1995 television adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, will host this unmissable performance on Saturday 26 August.
Take a step back in time to meet Elizabeth Bennet, Jane Austen's most loveable heroine, this August bank holiday. When Elizabeth meets the rude and abrupt Mr. Darcy, she loathes him at first sight. But is there more to him than meets the eye?
Brought to life by award-winning writer Laura Tuner, this brand-new adaptation celebrates the 200th Anniversary of Jane Austen’s death and promises to be one of the most enchanting events of the summer.
Belton House starred as Rosings, Lady Catherine De Bourgh’s residence in the BBC series. As Mr. Collins would attest, no greater honour can be bestowed than an invitation to dine at Rosings. So Belton invites you to pack up a picnic and enjoy this unforgettable love story under the summer sky. Gates open at 6pm before the performance begins at 7pm.
