Making your mark at Beningbrough Hall

Join a drop-in adult learning session and create a work of art

Be inspired by the creative women featured in Making her mark, on display in the hall, to make your own masterpiece this May.

Take inspiration from the current exibition of portraits from the National Portrait Gallery - Making her mark - to create your own masterpiece.

Every Friday in May, the drop in sessions from 12-5pm will explore various art techniques with a different theme each week. This will include looking at lighting, colour versus black and white and self-portraiture.

You don’t need any prior experience - we'll guide you through different styles and practices, using hand and digital drawing techniques.

That's York TV came to get a closer look at the exhibition and to talk to us about the drop-in sessions. Take a look at the video to find out more.

There's no need to book, just turn up and have a go.
