Explore the garden by finding the secret tunnels, squishy trees, sundial and more. There's plenty of fun to be had, from a family game of croquet by the lake, to planting seeds in the walled kitchen garden.
Collect a children's map from visitor reception and head out on an adventure around the colourful garden. The map will show you all the best bits, as well as where to play a game, do a spot of gardening, get in touch with nature and/or take a break.
On your map you will also see ten little jumping symbols. Find these spots and receive fun directions to hop, skip and jump your way around the garden.
Games on the parade | Daily 11am - 3pm*
From Wednesday 25 July, join us on the parade in the garden for daily sessions of fun and games for all the family.
*Sessions are subject to weather and staff availability. Please ask at visitor reception upon arrival for further information.
Sow and grow | Daily
Join us for 'sow and grow' in the walled kitchen garden and have fun watering flowers and planting seeds in pots. You can then take your pot home and enjoy watching it grow. You will also find little wheelbarrows and watering cans for gardening fun.
This year we're all about books at Blickling Estate. Enjoy exploring our contemporary art installation in the house and go on a hunt for our colourful bookworms. How many can you find?
Take part in our family nature trail in the parkland any day of the week. This walk around the wider estate is ideal for older children as it encourages curious minds to solve riddles and complete the puzzle to reveal a mystery word. You can take part on foot or by bike, all you need to do is collect a trail sheet from visitor reception.
Cycle hire | Weekends
Cycle hire is open every Saturday and Sunday from 10am - 2pm and provides a range of cycles with something for everyone. Big or small, why not take the opportunity to venture further afield? Cycle hire is £5 per day and includes tag-alongs and children's bikes. All bikes must be returned by 4pm at the latest.
Cricket | Weekends
Fancy a game? Our brilliant, brand new cricket sets, courtesy of the Norfolk Cricket Board, are available to borrow from cycle hire every weekend from 10am. A fully refundable £10 deposit is required upon hire and all equipment must be returned by 4pm at the latest to receive your refund.
Fancy an ice-cream?
Ice-cream is always the perfect way to finish a sunny day out. Find a selection of scrumptious flavors available in our Muddy Boots and Courtyard cafés.
Smoothie bike | Daily*
Our smoothie bike is returning this school summer holiday. Watch as the bike pedals and blends fresh fruit and vegetables from the walled garden into delicious, refreshing drinks.
*Our smoothie bike is subject to weather and volunteer availability.
