Whether you are bringing a group of adults, or organising a visit for your youth group or school, here is everything you need to know to plan your visit.

To make sure that your group visit to Brownsea Island is a simple as possible, we ask that you pre-book your visit by calling 01202 707744, option 2 or email. Group admission rates are available for parties of 15 or more, for the latest information, please see our prices page.

Schools and youth groups (Including Scouting and Guiding)

To add even more adventure to your visit, we have a wide variety of activities available for groups to book. These are all listed on our activities page and range from curriculum linked learning sessions to scouting heritage activities and sporting activities such as archery.

We offer a wide variety of group activities which can be tailored to suit your group's needs.

Adult groups

Guided walks

We have a series of special guided walks available for groups at a cost of £2.50 per person which can be booked in advance (minimum number 15).Choose from the following topics to learn more about Brownsea Island on your visit:

  • Introduction to Brownsea Island
  • Red Squirrels
  • The Centenary of Scouting - Birthplace of Scouting and Guiding
  • A Walk on the Wild Side
  • The Island at War

Food and Drink

The Villano Cafe offers delicious home cooked refreshments including hot and cold meals, desserts, cakes and hot and cold drinks.

The cafe is open from 10.00am until the island closes.

The Catering Manager can arrange other catering, including packed lunches, for your group. Let us know if you would like the Catering Manager to contact you to discuss this.

There are lots of great places to have a picnic, if you need help choosing the best spot please let us know.
