Local artist exhibition in Villano café

Brownsea Island shoreline 2016 by Lizzy Short

Inspired by Brownsea Island and the surrounding area, local artist Lizzy Short has a selection of her work on display in the Villano café.

This season, the Villano cafe is host to a display of work from the winners of a local art competition. The work of Lizzy Short is on display and available to buy until the end of October 2016.

Lizzy trained at the Laird School of Art and Falmouth School of Art, gaining a BA in Fine Art. Teaching art for many years at local secondary schools, she is currently working as a freelance fine art facilitator at The Seaview Centre, Poole.

"My passion is capturing landscapes, working 'en plein air' in the beautiful local surroundings of Poole's harbour and beaches, Studland and. most recently, Brownsea Island situated in Poole Harbour."

Find out more about Lizzy and her work on her website www.lizzyshort.com
