May half term on Brownsea

trail

Brownsea’s brand new Nature Rubbing Trail is here!

From Saturday May 26 -  Sunday June 3 we'll be rolling out our brand new creative trail featuring crayon rubbing.  Using your trail map, work your way round the island and discover 12 different rubbing tiles and learn about Brownsea’s brilliant animal species.  Make your way up to the Visitor Centre to pick up your trail map and start your adventure from there. You can also get up close and personal to Brownsea bugs on our mini beast safaris, running Monday – Friday of Half term.

Wild about nature day

On Wednesday 30th May we’ll be running a day packed with fun and adventure for the whole family. First stop is Church Field where you will find our friendly countryside volunteers who help look after this special environment.  They’ll be ready and waiting to chat to you about the important jobs they do on the island and you’ll learn how to help your own environment at home by taking away your very own packet of bee friendly wildflower seeds.

As well as our countryside team there will be teams of other volunteers from all over the island who all are passionate about supporting Brownsea .  From the Outdoor Centre to Dorset Wildlife Trust - why not chat to them and see how you can help support the island?!

Church Feild will also be host to a range of fun activites and games such as rabbit wobble racing and crafts.  Bring a picnic and make a day of it, this May half term.
