Volunteering at Buckingham Chantry Chapel

As a charity here to protect our special places for everyone to enjoy, we simply couldn’t do it without the aid of thousands of volunteers. From keeping our properties alive with intriguing stories to being at the forefront of conservation, volunteers are the heartbeat of the National Trust.

Lending a hand

If you’ve got some spare time to lend a hand and would like to learn something new or share in a passion you have, then we’d love to hear from you. There’s a variety of positions available for volunteers, or tell us what interests you most.

Contact Jenny Bell at Stowe on 01280 817156 or Jennifer.Bell@nationaltrust.org.uk for more information about helping us at the Chapel.

Part of a team

As well as looking after Buckingham Chantry Chapel, we're part of a team that care for a group of properties in the Stowe and Aylesbury Vale Portfolio: Stowe, Claydon,Boarstall Tower, Boarstall Duck Decoy, Long Crendon Courthouse and King's Head. Some of our volunteers choose several roles at several properties, providing you with the opportunity of a breadth of historial eras and property styles, from a Medieval tower to a grand Georgian house. It's also a great way to meet lots of people and try new things. You'll help us achieve our plan as part of a larger family.

" At the Stowe and Aylesbury Portfolio in 2015, 386 volunteers worked in 34 roles, donating 29,000 hours. We simply couldn't achieve what we do without their contribution. Join the team and help us look after your local special place."
