Easter at Canons Ashby

A girl searches for eggs in a tree

Seize the opportunity to get into the great outdoors at Canons Ashby this Easter. Choose your pick of a Cadbury Egg Hunt, Tray Gardens, Tree Trail or Lion Tally for the perfect day out with the whole family.

Grab a pair of wellies and join us for this year’s Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt.

Victorians loved sharing colourfully painted eggs to celebrate the season, so this year the Easter Bunny has teamed up with Hanwell Fields Community School art club to put together a gift basket for their friend Miss Alice at Canons Ashby.

On his way to deliver them, Bunny ended up having so much fun jumping along the ridge & furrow in the parkland that he didn’t realise his eggs were flying all over the place! Now he needs your help finding them to give to Miss Alice.

Make sure you get your parkland admission ticket from the Coach House, and then pick up your parkland map from the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt start point for £2. A delicious chocolate reward awaits you at the finish line.

Treat yourselves with a tray and a trail

If all you want to do is get out and enjoy nature why not try our gardens and parkland activities? During the miniature tray garden sessions green fingered families can let their imagination grow wild using materials collected by our garden team. Or pick up a Canons Ashby Tree Trail free from the Coach House, where you can learn to spot and recognise trees by their twigs, leaves and even their seeds.

Spend the whole day together

If you’re planning to spend the whole day at Canons Ashby, there is plenty to keep little and large minds occupied. We have a cosy kid’s corner in the second-hand bookshop, and a lion tally for keen counters in the manor house.
