Easter at Charlecote

Cadbury and National trust Easter trail logo 2017

Visiting Charlecote over Easter has become a real tradition for many families, exploring the gardens and wider parkland to seek out the clues in our Cadbury Egg Hunt and claiming a delicious Cadbury chocolate treat at the end. KEEP AN EYE ON SOCIAL MEDIA IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING ANY DISTANCE - WE WILL CLOSE THE ENTIRE PROPERTY TO NEW ARRIVALS WHEN OUR CAR PARK IS FULL.

Charlecote's Cadbury Egg Hunts are happening between Easter Thursday 13 April and Easter Tuesday 18 April (6 days), from 10.30am-4.30pm each day.

It’s £3.00 per hunt leaflet, normal admission applies for non-members. Cash only, please - we don't have card payment facilities in the Egg Hunt marquee.

Have you thought about becoming a member of the National Trust when you visit this Easter? You'll enjoy a whole year of free visits to all our properties and you'll get free Egg Hunts on the day you visit. When you join at Charlecote, we benefit directly with funds from central National Trust for our work here.

Plan your visit

This first Bank Holiday weekend of the spring can get incredibly busy for us - everyone can’t wait to come out of hibernation!

If you’re not bringing children for the Cadbury Egg Hunt you’ll have a quieter visit away from the main holiday weekend.

We have extended our opening hours for 2017 from 10.00am to 6.00pm – arrive early or after 3.00pm if you can, and you’ll find a car park space much more easily.

Please be aware that we will close the property to new arrivals when our car park is full and we are at capacity.

Please help us be good neighbours and don’t park on the verges in the village or in the Charlecote Garden Store car park.  If our car park is closed you won't be admitted to the property.

This will help our visitors on site to enjoy their visit and enable our staff,  volunteers and livestock to cope when we are at our busiest.

The joys of spring

We also have nature-inspired walks and activities every day throughout the holidays (8-23 April).

There are nature trails around the parkland throughout the Easter holidays

Eating and shopping

Our hard-working staff in the Orangery tea room really do their best on busy days, but a good coffee or putting together a hot meal takes time. Look out for our pop-up catering outlets around the grounds to cut down on queuing time.
