2017 opening times and prices for groups

The lakes at Chartwell, a National Trust property in Kent

We welcome pre-booked groups of 15 or more to Chartwell and it couldn't be easier to organise. We recommend reading the below information before organising your group visit to us.

2017 group admission prices

Groups are eligible for the group entry rate if there are 15 or more in the party, the visit is booked in advance and payment for the non-members is taken as one sum on arrival.

Adults      £12.50 per person
Children  £6.25 per person

National Trust Member  Free admission
Group Leader    Free admission (Non-transferable)

Coach drivers will receive a free refreshment voucher.

Chartwell car park is ‘pay and display’ with free parking for coaches and NT members. Groups arriving by car need to meet together at the visitor welcome centre to be welcomed as a group.


2017 opening times

The house at Chartwell is open to groups daily between 25 February -29 October 2017.

We regret we are unable to welcome groups on bank holiday weekends when the property is at its busiest. 

House time slots for groups

Standard entry to the house at Chartwell is by timed ticket only. Your group will explore the house at their own pace rather than by guided tour but our volunteers are on hand to answer any questions.

To guarantee your group entry to the house, we will book you time slots for the house in advance. Please note large groups will be split across multiple time slots for the house.

The following timed slots are offered to groups on a first come first served basis:

11am (Mon-Fri only)     11:10am     11:20am     12:40pm     12:50pm     13:00pm

13:40pm     13:50pm     15:00pm     15:10pm

All groups are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before their house entry time.

Gardens and studio

The gardens are open free-flow daily from 10am, with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day when they are closed.

The studio is open free-flow between 12noon-4pm throughout our main season (25 Feb-29 Oct) and open 12noon-3:30pm between 30 Oct-31 Dec.
