Chedworth Roman Villa opens for 2017 season

Chedworth Roman Villa is now open for a week of half-term activities for families, themed around the legend of the Roman saint, Valentine. This includes a special trail around the Roman site and craft activities. Costumed interpreters are here on most of the days to chat with visitors about the Romano-British life and traditions of this time of year.

In early March two workshops are planned to inspire craft and garden lovers - a willow weaving workshop, making garden supports for climbing plants (Saturday 4 March) and a silver jewellery workshop (Saturday 11 March). These can be booked on 0344 249 1895.

We have special talks and tours about the villa’s history, Victorian discovery and recent archaeology scheduled. Take a look at the What's on section for more details.

It is not too late to put your New Year’s resolutions into action. If you would like to get involved with what’s happening at the villa, come along to our volunteering open morning on Saturday 12 March at 10.30am. You can chat to our team and find out about volunteering first hand.
