Eating and shopping at Claydon
Whether you're looking for the perfect gift, a memento of your visit or a treat for yourself, we’re sure you will find something here. The courtyard is a hub of activity with a selection of shops and galleries to pop into.
Located in the courtyard, the National Trust shop offers a small selection of your favourite products, from interesting jams to stationery inspired by the special places in the care of the National Trust. Pick up some sweets for the way home, a special book or a keyring as a memento. Every purchase contributes directly to the work being undertaken at Claydon.
Discover a treasure trove of pre-loved tomes, with books for all ages and interests. The second-hand bookshop is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who ensure the shelves are constantly brimming with books. Pop in to pick up a bargain or even try something new with blind date a book.
The proceeds from book sales raise funds for conservation projects all around the house. Every book you see in the shop is kindly donated by visitors, volunteers and staff.
Volunteers have been getting creative this season to give a new lease of life for some of the more tired and damaged books. Take a look at some of the new designs on display. All money raised goes back into supporting Claydon.
You'll find a selection of individual shops and galleries in the courtyard to explore. Discover handmade gifts and be inspired by the range of exhibitions on show. Take a look on the Claydon Estate website for more details.
