Whether it's making new friends, learning new skills, or helping look after a fantastic place, there are many reasons to volunteer.
What can I do?
Volunteers help look after Coleridge Cottage in a number of ways: bringing the story of Coleridge to life by talking to visitors, serving tea and delicious cake in our busy tearoom, and selling books and gifts in our shop.
For the first time this year, the Cottage is open seven days a week rather than five during the main season. More than ever we are looking for passionate, friendly people to join us in bringing this special place to life.
How do I find out more?
You can join us on the open day on Thursday 5th of July at 5-7pm. This informal evening will give you a chance to chat with current volunteers at the Cottage, meet staff members Tina, Kate and Roy, have a look round the Cottage and find out more about the different roles. If you're really keen on the day, you can even book in a start date! You don't need to have a degree in Coleridge - a full induction and shadowing sessions will be provided to make sure you are comfortable in your role.
You don't have to wait until the open day. We're always looking for new volunteers so you can browse our current roles and apply online, get in touch with us on 01278 732662, or send us an email
