Half term at Corfe Castle

Two girls on a bug hunt

Nature invades Corfe Castle this half term, and you’re invited to meet some of the fascinating creatures that live nearby.

Thora, a 3,000 year old spirit, waits to enthral old and young with Land: Nature tales from the Mother of the Mound – five performances daily from 29-31 May.

Natural neighbours including moths, reptiles, bats, and spiders are the stars of walks and talks in Wildlife Weekend from June 1-3.

Pop into the wildlife tent and chat with experts or pick up a free spotter guide and go on your own bug hunt in the castle grounds.

Browse a whole range of stalls as part of Corfe Castle village’s May Fair on Monday 28 May.
Meanwhile, intrepid young visitors can go on our brand new Castle Quest from Saturday 26 May onwards.

Find the clues dotted around the castle and collect stamps in your passport to claim your prize of a siege coin – inspired by the coins used when the castle was under siege in the English Civil War.

There’ll be different siege coins for each new Castle Quest in future so don’t forget to check our website for news.

All half term events are free but normal admission charges apply, free to National Trust members.
