Do something different this February half-term
With activities planned every day of the holiday, there's something for everyone to enjoy!
Become an explorer
On Saturday 18, Sunday 19, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26, borrow one of our tracker packs and head off on your very own wild adventure! They’re free to borrow and are filled with ideas for different activities you can try out on your journey around the estate.
Ready to get artsy? On Monday 20 February drop into the Young Engineers’ Zone and make a Sun Catcher to brighten up your bedroom, and on Wednesday 22 February help out the feathery friends in your garden and make a bird feeder down at the Formal Gardens. Plus, we’ll be ticking off number 18 in our 50 Things adventure scrapbooks on Thursday 23 February, when we make some wild art and experiment with the different patterns and textures found in the great outdoors.
Try a 50 Things activity
It’s 50 Things Friday on 24 February, and we’re ticking off number 41, plant it, grow it, eat it. Pop along to the Formal Garden and say hello to our gardeners, who will show you how to plant your own seed that you can take home and watch grow.
The fun doesn’t stop there…
With over 1,000 acres to explore there’s plenty fun to be had on the estate! Whoosh down the slide or whizz along the zip line in the Adventure Play Area, build a den or try the barefoot walk, get lost in the labyrinth, try out the family-friendly walk of the month that starts at Crozier car park, explore a story of invention and wonder in the house, and see if you can find Douglas in the Pinetum. Don’t forget to refuel after your adventures with a tasty treat in the Tea Rooms, and find a range of seasonal and local goodies in the shop.
