Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt

Friday 25 – Monday 28 March, 11am-3pm

Bunny has been up to his usual tricks at Cragside and has hidden his Easter Eggs somewhere on Cragside Estate. Can you follow the trail and solve his puzzle to help us track the eggs down? Solve the puzzle to receive a delicious Cadbury's chocolate reward! £3*

Bunny’s House Easter Children’s Trail

Friday 26 March – Sunday 10 April, 11am-4pm

Can you find Bunny hiding in rooms in the House – he is spelling out a word – can you work out the message he is trying to send? Trail guide 50p, available at the House *

Make an Easter Bonnet

Tuesday 29 March, 11am – 3 pm

Make an Easter Bonnet to parade round the Estate in. Drop in at the Young Engineers’ Zone. Free *

Time to Dress

Wednesday 30 March, 10:30am, 12pm, 1:30pm, 3pm.

Immerse yourselves in all things Victorian and dress from head to toe in Victorian clothing – from bloomers to hats, with your own personal servant to assist! Then, why not talk a walk around the house and amaze the visitors?  Suitable for ages 4-12. £10 * per 1 hour session for up to 3 children. Booking Essential*

Eggsperiment with eggs!

Experiment with different methods of dyeing paste eggs – find out what works and what doesn’t.   Drop in at the Young Engineers’ Zone. Free *

Bird Survey

Friday 1 April, 11am – 3pm

Join Carole our Learning and Events Officer at the Wildlife Hide and help us to make a survey of the birds using our site in early spring.  Might you spot a red squirrel too?  Bring your own binoculars! We only have a small number of children’s’ binoculars available to borrow. Drop in at the Bird Hide. Free *

Take a view of Cragside

Monday 4 April, 11am – 3pm  

Over the years many people have sketched Cragside House – and now it is your turn! Borrow a picture frame and a sketch pad and draw your own pencil picture of Cragside to take home with you – or leave it on display here at Cragside!  Drop in at the Information Hut. Free*

Make a “hot cross” mud pie

Join Carole our Learning and Events Officer at the Adventure Playground to make a mud pie – how will you decorate yours? Drop in at the Adventure playground. Free *
