After a fantastic summer we’ve decided to extend kayaking & canoeing to every Saturday throughout September. Plus, on Sunday 10 September have a go at paddle boarding, or find your inner zen with standup paddle board yoga.

Please note that normal National Trust admission charges apply for these events. All bookings are made via Cullercoats Bike & Kayak's website.

Canoe at Cragside

Hire a canoe (each canoe sits three adults or two adults and two small children) and head out on to Tumbleton Lake for your own adventure, or book onto a guided canoe tour, and head round the lake with an expert guide who will teach you basic canoeing skills and give you a little history of Cragside. Guided canoe tour £6 - £8, canoe hire £15 (per boat) for 30 minutes.

Hire a one-seater kayak, grab a map and explore Tumbleton Lake at your own pace. Relax and enjoy being on the lake. £7.50 for 30 minutes.

Kids only: Splashdown!

For children aged 7-14. Qualified instructors will provide you with a wetsuit for a session of kayaking and canoeing games, practice rescues, and more. Having fun and getting wet is guaranteed! This session runs from 3pm-4pm. £12 per child.

SUP at Cragside

On Sunday 10 September, head to Tumbleton lake to hire a standup paddleboard, take a lesson, or find your calm with a SUP yoga class.
