Here are some of our top things to look out for on Crickley Hill this summer
Beech trees grow quite fast and their trunks can be massive.
If you're lucky you might see an adder on the edge of the woods. Don't venture too close though as they are venomous.
Field scabious carpet the grassland on Crickley Hill as their delicate purple flowers bob about in the breeze
Fungi come in all sorts of different shapes and colours. Their names are pretty cool too - green elfcap, scarlett bonnet, fairy inkcap and earthstar fungus are a few to look out for.
The mewing 'kiew' from the buzzard is a familiar sound above Crickley Hill.
