You haven’t truly experienced Crom until you have taken a boat trip on Lough Erne. Leave the land behind and enjoy the sights of the estate as you drift down its meandering waterways. Stop off at an island or two, enjoy a family picnic and experience Fermanagh from the exceptional vantage point of the water.

Crom has a selection of boats and canoes to suit your group size and energy level. What mode of sailing will you choose? 

Canoes and Rowing boat

If you feel up to the challenge of the oars this is perfect for you. The rowing boat is a great for short trips and our new canoes are a fantastic way to explore the waters of Lough Erne. Both the canoes and rowing boat are recommended for a calm day.

Rowing boat - one available for hire - £7.50 per hour.

Canadian Canoes - two available - £15 half day, £25 full day. (£30 refundable deposit required)

Outboard Engines and Lady Erne

This is a more relaxing option as you let the engine do the work for you. Make a day of it and travel to Belturbet, a local town perfect for stopping off for lunch before travelling back to Crom. Lady Erne has a cab, providing some shelter from those unexpected rain showers, and is a very comfortable way to explore the estate from the water.

Outboard engine boats - two available for hire - £30 half day, £45 full day

Lady Erne – £50 per half day, £75 per day (£100 deposit and photographic ID required, Strictly over 21 years only)

Hire information

*Please Note – Boat hire is currently unavailable. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause.

  • Max five persons per boat

  • Full instruction given at time of hire, including maps of the estate, local points of interest 

  • Fuel and buoyancy aids provided 

  • Visitor Centre opens 11am – 5pm, hire available during this time

    • Half day hire: 11am – 1.30pm or 2pm – 4.30pm, full day hire: 11am – 4.30pm

  • Advance booking advised during busy season (July and August) or during periods of good weather
