Here are some of the most romantic things to do at Croome for Valentine’s Day.
Join our tour 'Love in a Croome Climate'
Between Monday 13 and Sunday 19 February at 12.30pm and 2.30pm why not join our tour of the house which offers a brief insight into the lives of three women who found love at Croome.
Barbara St John
When Barbara died in 1800, the 6th Earl lost his love for life and he had lost his soul-mate.
Lady Blanche Craven
Lord Coventry described his wife as ‘the best wife a man ever had … of whom whatever I said would fall short of the truth.’
The story of a Lady’s maid and Chauffeur who found love in service at Croome.
Hang your romantic message on the ‘Love Note’ tree
Read the only surviving poem from the 6th Earl of Coventry to his first wife Maria and be inspired to leave your own little love note heart and hang it on our 'Love Note' tree.
Find a quiet space
You’ll find peace and tranquillity, as well as secluded spots, in our parkland; the Island Pavilion is decorated with frescos depicting a Grecian wedding scene.
Take a romantic walk
There’s nothing more important on Valentine’s Day than spending time together and what better way than by going for a romantic walk. At Croome we have a number of self-guided walks from a short stroll round the parkland to a more challenging walk to one of our outer eye-catchers.
Tea for two
Round off your romantic day with a visit to one of our tea-rooms and indulge yourself with delicious homemade cakes.
