Croome is taking part in 'Silent Space' where visitors are being encouraged to switch off their mobiles and enjoy five minutes of silence in the beautiful setting on Sundays until October.
A new initiaive called ‘Silent Space’ has invited a small number of forward thinking gardens and landscapes to reserve an area where visitors will not be disturbed by the human voice.
No matter how busy the rest of the garden, visitors to a ‘Silent Space’ will have the opportunity to reflect in silence.
Croome is taking part and will be reserving an area by the Island Pavilion, near the lakeside, where for a few hours visitors have the opportunity to wander, sit and contemplate, without being disturbed by the human voice.
‘Silent Space’ could not only deepen the experience of visitors to UK gardens and landscapes but could also provide opportunities for research into the benefits of silence on our wellbeing, creativity and connection with nature.
Join us and savour the peace and quiet of 'Silent Space' at the Island Pavilion between 10am and 5pm on every Sunday until 15 October.

" It would be wonderful if in years to come, green ‘Silent Spaces’ became part of everyday life - somewhere easily accessible for people to be quiet, whenever they felt the need."
