Silent Spaces at Croome

Enjoy 'Silent Space' at Croome

Croome is taking part in 'Silent Space' where visitors are being encouraged to switch off their mobiles and enjoy five minutes of silence in the beautiful setting every day from 1 April to 31 October.

A new initiaive called ‘Silent Space’ has invited a small number of forward thinking gardens and landscapes to reserve an area where visitors will not be disturbed by the human voice.

No matter how busy the rest of the garden, visitors to a ‘Silent Space’ will have the opportunity to reflect in silence.

Enjoy the tranquility of the Home Shrubbery in our dedicated silent space. Take a seat on the bench, turn off your phone and take time to relax and enjoy the views across the park and river. Normal opening times and admission applies.

‘Silent Space’ could not only deepen the experience of visitors to UK gardens and landscapes but could also provide opportunities for research into the benefits of silence on our wellbeing, creativity and connection with nature.

Join us and savour the peace and quiet of 'Silent Space' in the Home Shrubbery between 10am and 5pm every day from 1 April to 31 October.

" It would be wonderful if in years to come, green ‘Silent Spaces’ became part of everyday life - somewhere easily accessible for people to be quiet, whenever they felt the need."
