February Half Term
We’re celebrating our stories, myths and legends throughout 2017 and there are plenty of tales to tell. This Half Term you can discover the love story that blossomed between the servants of Newton House. Make salt dough hearts in the old kitchen like the Cook, Lilly Kite or help tend to the horses like her beloved Basil, the Groomsman.
Tick off one of your 50 Things by Visiting a Farm as you climb aboard the tractor trailer tour to see our iconic White Park Cattle in their winter home. Our Tractor Tours are running at 12 noon Monday to Friday.
Put your detective hats on, this Easter we need your help to find the missing calf at Dinefwr. Solve the mystery and be rewarded with a Cadbury chocolate prize. April 14-17, 10am to 4pm.
Tick off one of your 50 Things by Building and flying a kite or grab a map and compass and head into the parkland for an epic adventure.
May Half Term
Plant it, grow it, eat it.
Growing your own food will give you an amazing feeling and its fun too. Plant a tiny seed, care for it and watch it turn into something that you can actually eat. Join us this Half Term and we’ll show you all you need to know.

Walk in the footsteps of Wales’ sporting legends as we embark on a summer of active fun at Dinefwr.
Kick off your week with Move-it Mondays where you can try out a new sport on our 800 acre playground. Climb aboard on Tractor Tuesday and meet our legendary cattle up close before going wild with our Rangers on Wild Wednesdays. Tread the boards like Wales’ legendary actors on Theatre Thursday inside Newton House before becoming a knight of the realm on Fierce Fridays on Castle Field. Spend your Saturday at the Ranger Club before rounding off your week with storytelling Sunday.
The Rangers club. Become a survival expert by joining our Mini Rangers academy this summer. With a different outdoor skill to be perfected each week, by the end of the summer holidays you’ll be giving Bear Grylls the run around.
October Half Term
Pumpkins! Pumpkins! Pumpkins!...plus conker competitions, Hallowe’en crafts, spooky trails, not to mention lots of crunchy autumn leaves to kick up as you head out for a family walk through the colourful parkland.
Immerse yourself in a traditional Christmas at Newton House. Explore what Christmas meant for the servants in the basement and for those upstairs too. Newton House will be dressed for a traditional Christmas celebration and guess what, you’re all invited
Santa Sundays – Father Christmas will be in his grotto at Newton House every Sunday in December.
