Capture the summer in colour

Artist discussing his work with a bystander

Art in many forms has always found a home at Dudmaston. This summer we're giving you the opportunity to create your own arty masterpieces and get closer to some of ours.

'En Plein Air' Artist Workshops

Sun 6, Wed 16, Wed 30 August, Sun 10 and Sun 17 September, 12 noon - 4pm. £25 per person.

Art lives both indoors and out at Dudmaston. Amongst the eye catching modern scultpures in the garden, local artist Mo Awkati will be leading painting and drawing workshops throughout the summer.

Spend a day capturing the garden views and vistas across Big Pool. Mo will offer friendly supervision to help you improve your artistry skills.

Workshops will focus on colour mixing, watercolour techniques, painting landscapes, water and skies.

Suitable for all abilities. Please bring your own easel, fold out chair and art materials. Equipment can be hired for a £5 charge.

Tour: A Cocktail of Art

Every Tuesday at 12 noon.

Sir George Labouchere, collector of Dudmaston's Modern paintings, once said that seeing a collection of abstract art made him feel as if he'd had 'a number of very good cocktails.'

Meet our art volunteer and immerse yourself in the stories behind the paintings in our Modern Art collection. Cocktails sadly not included. This is a free activity and spaces are limited so we advise booking ahead.
