Things to see and do at Emmetts Garden
Different gardens, views and events here mean there’s always something to interest you, your family and friends. Why not pay us a visit and see what you can discover?
Our rock garden is home to a wonderful variety of Alpines and English hardy species. It has a lily pond and winding paths that allow you to explore this unique part of the garden.
The rose garden is the only formal area at Emmetts. We have planted new pink roses, including the Octavia Hill rose, that will add vibrant colour come the summer. Originally created for the owner's wife, Catherine Lubbock, the rose garden is the perfect spot to sit and relax.
The wildflowers are a riot of colour in the summer, and there's plenty of space to run around and play in or you can borrow one of our games from the discovery cabin.
A plantsman's paradise
Marvel in the rare and exotic trees and shrubs in the North and South Gardens. Introduced by Frederic Lubbock, the specimens were placed to grow to their own unique natural form and became a step away from the formal planting typical of the Victorian era.
Emmetts has fantastic views over the Weald of Kent and neighbouring Ide Hill village. Sit and enjoy the view in the meadow or from one of our many well placed benches.
