Percy the Park Keeper's winter wander trail at Speke Hall

This winter, treat your little ones to a world of adventures at Speke Hall with Percy the Park Keeper's winter wander trail. Join in the fun with Percy and his animal friends and give nature a helping hand.

  • Booking not needed
  • Admission applies

Join us every day between 4 December - 2 January (except for 25 & 26 December when we'll be closed) to enjoy the trail as part of your visit. You don't need to pre-book. Trail packs are £2 each (usual admission charges apply, entry is free for National Trust members and under 5s).

There's a lot to get done in winter! Become Percy’s helper for the day, stepping into his wellies while he’s busy. Working with Percy’s animal friends, you can carry out some winter tasks based around helping nature, noticing what’s around, and looking after animals and habitats. You will follow clues and a note from Percy to find lost items and help get the tasks done. There will also be some fun and games along the way. And at the end, you'll get a prize which will help you to do your bit for nature at home.

What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

  Gift Aid Standard
Amount paid by visitor £11.00 £10.00
Tax refund from Government* £2.75 £0.00
Total received by the National Trust £13.75 £10.00

Please note...

You no longer need to pre-book your visit. The gardens, grounds, restaurant and play areas are open every day. The property closes at 4pm. The house is closed for the winter.
