Join us for the Trust10 on Golden Cap and challenge yourself on this 10km run with breathtaking views.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
This T10 run starts in the National Trust Car Park, Stonebarrow. The figure of eight loop is a good tour of the area including the airy summit of Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast. The Golden Cap estate includes some of the best traditional hay meadows in the country in terms of rare wildflowers and biodiversity.
This is a challenging 10km with several steep climbs and descents and requires a good level of fitness. The route can be shortened at the figure of 8 cross over and still makes for a challenging 5km.
The event is supported by our volunteer team and is waymarked with easy to follow pink arrows.
The T10 occurs on the 4th Sunday of the month.
We love to see children and families together, enjoying running non-competitively. The minimum age for running our Trust10 event is 14 years old and over. Parents and guardians should accompany and remain responsible for children taking part at all times throughout the event and use your discretion as to your child being suitable and able to take part in our Trust10 recreational run.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome to join the Trust10. Please be aware that there may be livestock along the route.
If you'd like to familiarise yourself with the route, please take a look https://runtogether.co.uk/routes/trust10-at-stonebarrow-hill-west-dorset/ It is also available on Strava and Komoot
The nearest car park is Stonebarrow pay and display car park (free for NT members).

What is Gift Aid?
Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.
Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission
- Standard Admission
If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.
Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:
|Amount paid by visitor||£11.00||£10.00|
|Tax refund from Government*||£2.75||£0.00|
|Total received by the National Trust||£13.75||£10.00|
