From Friday 27 May to Friday 7 October

Firebrick Brewery’s beer-making takes inspiration from the heritage of the region and the new standalone pub at Gibside called The Garden Tap, will offer three cask ales and two keg lines alongside spirits and wine. The pizza oven will be ablaze, fuelled by birch logs, and serving a variety of pizzas including a vegan option.
The Garden Tap is a family pub, every member is welcome - even your dog can join. There is seating both inside and on the veranda, and occasionally they’ll be boules, quoits and crayons for the little ones while you enjoy a freshly pulled pint. Once a month, The Garden Tap will also host special events with musical performances.
Opening hours at Gibside have extended on Fridays so visitors can enjoy late summer evenings exploring walking trails, discovering nature and creating memories with family and friends.
*Last orders 30 minutes before close. Friday opening hours 12pm - 9pm, with last entry into Gibside at 8pm on Friday. Gibside is free for National Trust members, or normal admission charges apply.

What is Gift Aid?
Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.
Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission
- Standard Admission
If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.
Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:
|Amount paid by visitor||£11.00||£10.00|
|Tax refund from Government*||£2.75||£0.00|
|Total received by the National Trust||£13.75||£10.00|
