What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

  Gift Aid Standard
Amount paid by visitor £11.00 £10.00
Tax refund from Government* £2.75 £0.00
Total received by the National Trust £13.75 £10.00

*Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

The basics

Booking details
Call 01924 863892
Your whole party need admission tickets (or National Trust membership) and a grotto ticket each.
Suitability
Please ensure children are accompanied by an adult.
Assistance dogs are welcome.
Meeting point
Head through the courtyard to the rose garden and follow the festive signs. Father Christmas is a man in demand, so his elves are very grateful for guests arriving in good time.
Accessibility
Find the workshop, grotto and a very special festive theme on the ground floor, with wheelchair access and an accessible toilet close by. Pop into our courtyard café to warm up with festive treats.
Other
Father Christmas will use festive magic to dash between the North Pole (to load the sleigh and feed the reindeer) and special grotto sittings here at Nostell. Select a 45 minute sitting and enjoy festive crafts in the elves’ workshop while the excitement builds for your special 1 to 1 visit with the big man in his grotto (there may be a wait, as your visit can be anytime within the sitting). One grotto slot can be enjoyed by one, two or three children from the same party at the same time.
