Follow the blue trail on our estate walk into the woodland to find all the best places to view our beautiful bluebells.

Timings can vary for the best show, so keep up to date on our Facebook page, or contact us if you want to be sure they are fully out before travelling.

What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

Please note: we offer reduced, off-peak pricing from 2 February to 8 March 2019, and 9 to 24 November 2019 (weekends only), when the main castle rooms are not fully open due to conservation work.

Suitability
Children are very welcome!
Dogs on leads are welcome.
Meeting point
The bluebells are located on the woodland walk.
What to bring and wear
Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear, paths can be uneven and muddy.
Accessibility
Suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, but please be aware there are some steep inclines and uneven areas. The trail will be difficult to manage with limited mobility.
