Apple weekend

Come and celebrate our apple harvest by joining us in the walled garden and enjoy juicing demonstrations and tastings.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Discover the estate's heritage apples, with pop-up talks from our garden team and learn more about a special variety that has been re-introduced from the diary of a 19th century Blickling gardener.

Try a sample of our freshly pressed apple juice and buy autumnal produce to take home with you. The wonderful display of colourful pumpkins and squashes growing in our walled garden is not to be missed.

What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

  Gift Aid Standard
Amount paid by visitor £11.00 £10.00
Tax refund from Government* £2.75 £0.00
Total received by the National Trust £13.75 £10.00

*Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

Please note...

Free access to the shops, cafés, RAF Oulton Museum, plant centre, second-hand bookshop, Loft Gallery exhibitions and park walks. Coarse fishing permits are available at the lakeside.

Parking and entry is free for National Trust members. For non-members there is a fixed daily charge of £5 for all car parks, which will go towards the care, maintenance and conservation of the parkland and ensure that the parking areas are maintained.  The machine does not take notes, so please ensure you have £5 of coins with you. However, if needed, visitors can pay for parking by notes or card at Estate Barn visitor reception. There is no charge for blue badge holders in the allocated areas.

There will be no separate garden only ticket from 1 January 2018.

Winter pricing for the whole property covers 1 January - 28 February and 1 - 30 November.
