Half Term Craft: Autumn Lanterns

Come along this half term and decorate your own glass lantern to light up your home for Halloween.

  • Booking advisable
  • Admission applies

Get crafty this half term and decorate your own glass lantern. Be inspired by a spooky pumpkin or by the autumn colour in the parkland. We’ll provide you with a tealight so once you’re home, you can see how your lantern shines! The sessions will be running on Wednesday 27 October 10.30am – 12pm and then 12.30pm – 2pm in the Hayloft Learning Centre in the Conservation Studio (opposite the Brewhouse Café). Please remember to pre-book your tickets for Knole to guarantee your entry.

What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

  Gift Aid Standard
Amount paid by visitor £11.00 £10.00
Tax refund from Government* £2.75 £0.00
Total received by the National Trust £13.75 £10.00

*Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

Please note...

The car park is reserved for National Trust members and paying visitors to the house only. Entry must be pre-booked per person and an additional charge will be made for non-members to park on arrival. Please do not come to Knole by car unless you have pre-booked.

Please go to the 'What's On' section to book. From 1 November until 23 December, the showrooms open are the Great Hall, Ballroom, Reynolds Room, Cartoon Gallery and the Kings Room. This will be reflected in our ticket price.
