Green Wood Carving - Carve a Spoon

Improve your green woodwork skills with this day long workshop where you'll learn to safely use tools such as axes and knives to carve a wooden spoon.

This all day workshop will guide you from start to finish and you'll come away with you own unique carved wooden spoon. You'll learn how to safely use tools such as axes and knives, including specific tools for spoon carving. It's a great introduction to wood carving or an opportunity to hone your skills with the guidance of an experienced carver. This course is recommended for over 16 year olds due to the use of sharp tools.

Meeting point
Ask ask at visitor reception when you arrive and they'll point you in the right direction.
What to bring and wear
Although the Loggia is under cover it is open to the elements so make sure you dress for the weather.
There will be a break for lunch about half way through the course and we would recommend bringing a packed lunch with you to allow for the most flexibility. Tea and coffee are provided throughout the day, but lunch is not included.
