Freshwater

Come and see this lively performance by Compton Little Theatre in the gardens of Monk's House.

  • Booking essential

'Freshwater', Virginia Woolf's only play, is a hilarious farce loosely based on the life of Julia Margaret Cameron, Woolf's great aunt. First written in 1923 but never staged, the play takes place on the Isle of Wight as Mr and Mrs Cameron prepare for a voyage to India - as soon as their coffins arrive!
